We are building an AI copilot for city planners, engineers, and architects to streamline the housing development approval process. Currently, approvals for development typically take up to two years. This long wait time delays construction, drives up costs, and limits the availability of new housing, making it harder for cities to meet growing demand. The complexity of reviewing zoning regulations and building codes adds to these delays, as manual review is often inconsistent, time consuming, and requires an expertise municipalities struggle to find and afford to keep up with the increasing need for housing. Our goal is to shorten this timeline by using automation tools that lower development time and costs. Our AI assistant can quickly identify potential issues, ensure planning applications and building permits are complete and accurate, and provide clear, consistent guidance to users. By simplifying the review process, we aim to make housing approvals more efficient and predictable, helping cities build affordable housing faster while maintaining safety and compliance.
