The current pediatric prosthetic process is time-consuming, and creates financial and travel burdens for families. Children often outgrow their sockets before new ones are covered by insurance, causing discomfort. Our project aims to develop an dynamic socket technology that adapts to growth during puberty. We hope to reduce the strain children, their families, and the healthcare system.
