This is not just another workshop, it’s a dynamic simulation where you’ll role-play real-world scenarios. You’ll step into the shoes of a co-op student working for an employer in any industry, spot a challenge, and learn how to bring your innovative solution to your employer - confidently and effectively.

Challenge yourself at your next role and set the stage to make a meaningful impact during your co-op by attending this workshop. This event empowers you to tackle real-world problems, no matter your field of study.

Co-op Problem Award

Also, there are $500 worth of Tuition Scholarships available through the Velocity Co-op Problem Award.

Apply your skills during your co-op term and submit your analysis for the Velocity Co-op Problem Award. Up to 10 x $500 scholarships are available for the best problem analysis relevant to your co-op employer or their industry and will be applied to your tuition.

How to enter:

• Attend the event and learn how to identify key problem areas.
• Apply your knowledge during your co-op.
• Submit your analysis.

Award details:

• Provided by Velocity in collaboration with Co-operative Education.
• Criteria: Best analysis of a significant problem relevant to a co-op employer or their industry.
• Selection: Winners are chosen at the sole discretion of Velocity, which reserves the right to withhold the award if submissions do not meet the required standards.

Deadline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Check the website for exact dates.

Eligibility

Co-op students with an interest in conducting analysis of a problem that is of strategic or systemic importance to one of their co-op employers

Level:

Year One, Year Two, Year Three, Year Four

Program

Open to any program. The deadline will normally be about six weeks from the beginning of each semester – see the website for the actual deadline.
